There must be a perverse misunderstanding as to the fear that drives people with no hope to the illegal immigrant status. Our immigration laws allow for nothing short of slave labor, an economic incentive to industries relying on labor pools with inhumane wages paid. There is absolutely no desire to facilitate legal entry into our country. And, yet, the economic benefits to immigration are well documented.

Those who think that tribal (race) identifications are of special significance could (and some would) construe this diminishment of illegal crossings to be “racist”. Let’s get beyond that and acknowledge that INDIVIDUALS immigrate for various reasons, some good and some not so good. Let’s control those who cross our borders such that more good than harm accrues to our future.
To counter the idea that Trump is motivating NATO members to contribute that which was originally agreed upon SB provides a statement by a New York Times reporter who acknowledges that “he has a point” but adds, he “mischaracterizes the way it works”. My reference was to the “numbers” having moved to the favor of all those who can understand the probability that NATO is strengthened by greater financial participation. Let’s hope as SB states, that its structure “benefits the U.S very well” – as well as all others who are sharing in this responsibility.

I wrote that we should strive to avoid unnecessarily painful paths as we strive to gain the best environment possible. I don’t know how she construed what I wrote to imply “no pain, no gain”. It is for the sake of reducing pain that I recommend we be as reasonable as possible. Whatever the disorder, there is nothing coherent in what we are experiencing from the current U. S. administration on a daily, if not hourly, basis. Worse yet, the bully-in-chief is so insecure that there is a deliberate tone of destruction in every action being taken … actions that promote a corruptive and debauching standard. There is no core belief, only the shallow gratification of an ignorant, incurious man/child.
