Bert Brown died today from complications of cardiovascular disease.Bert replaced Stan Yolles as head of NIMH in the 60s.He held the rank of Rear Admiral USPHS for over 20 years. He hired me in 1968.Bert was a Juliard concert pianist,a quick study and a resounding liberal.He will be sorely missed.He is the second Octogenarian to depart us.
